Rocketmakers CEO joins judging panel for 2023 Scale-Up Awards

Richard Godfrey, the Co-founder and CEO of award-winning software agency Rocketmakers, has joined the judging panel for the 2023 Scale-Up Awards.

Based in Bath, Rocketmakers designs, develops and deploys innovative software for ambitious companies. Set to sponsor the Scale-Up Disruptor Award at the 2023 Scale-Up Awards, Richard co-founded the company as iPrinciples back in 2007. An experienced and trusted CEO, CTO and technology innovator, he has a proven history of delivering major systems via Rocketmakers, Microsoft and Deloitte over the last 30+ years and has helped innovative start-up founders, scale-ups and corporates deliver disruptive and engaging customer experiences.

Richard joins an esteemed judging panel containing current Dragon Touker Suleyman; Dr Saima Rana, CEO and Principal of GEMS World Academy; and Irene Graham OBE, the CEO of the ScaleUp Institute, amongst others.

Brought to you by Business Leader, the Scale-Up Awards celebrate high-growth companies and the entrepreneurs that run them. Entries to the 15 award categories have now closed and a record number of entries received. The panel of judges is currently scrutinising award entries and the finalists in each category will be announced on the 8th of September.

Richard Godfrey comments on the announcement: “I’m truly honoured to be selected as one of the judges for the Scale-up Awards together with Touker Suleyman, Caprice and 21 other scale-up leaders from across the UK. The awards really were awesome last year, with our friend Guy Rigby picking up the Business Leader of the Year being a special highlight, so I’m really looking forward to seeing the wealth of entries for 2023.”

Andrew Scott, Founder of the Scale-Up Awards, comments: “With an excellent pedigree when it comes to scaling up businesses, Richard is a fantastic addition to our prestigious judging panel. I’m very pleased to bring Richard on board and I can’t wait to see who will make our finalist shortlist come September.”
